Tr in Marenello

I was over in Marenello this past week for business and look what the Ferrari Museum has tucked away between an Enzo, F 50, and a Cal Spyder …… it’s a 90 TR red with black.

A few high lights of the trip included, watching what looked like the replacement for the 360 Stradale get utterly abused to the maxim on Fiorano for about 15 laps, looked like he must have been going 150-175 down the straight hard break so much so the carbon brakes glowed bright red. Sitting at the bar outside of the back of the Planet Hotel and watching a FXX cruise by. Watching a 512 TR pull out of a store and gun it down the back side of the factory, by the way all the Ferrari test drivers drive crazy around the factory – wide open passing on the outside and on the inside on one occasion.

All in all a great trip.

It does, however it's a 89 Red on Black with a Tubi and the lower spoiler painted red. I was surprised as you would think the factory would have a purely stock example on display. I also bought 5 books in one of the shops in town and they all described the TR as such an important super car that came out of Ferrari. Made me think with all the posts as of late of the future of the TR and the appreciation that the car may or may not experience, many of the people gave as much attention to that one as all the others with the exception of the Enzo – People really picked that apart with photos and getting on the ground to look at the underside.

It was really cool to see the TR as I am taking delivery of the exact same car later this week, 89 RED with Black and a Tubi. I nearly fell over when I saw it placed as prominently as it was in the Museum.
