Heard of someone modifying a Testarossa muffler to get a better sound. Apparently it involved having a muffler shop cut open the housing and remove some baffles. Has anyone had any experience with such a modification?

For similar money you can have something made and get 50 lbs off the back bumper and save the original muffler.

Thanks for the suggestion, Brian. I'll look into that.

I did a similar thing to my 512 TR, opened up the original box, removed all pipes and baffles, replaced with direct perforated pipes surrounded with glass fibre , worked very well, nice sound not too loud at low speeds, but just about perfect at high revs
