    Hi Rolland,
    After talking to you at the Ferrari of Denver event I tried the 1st to 3ed shifting method you told me about in my '91 TR. Bypassing 2nd gear when the beast is cold is a good thing. When the oil temp is about 150 degs 2nd is pretty easy to find. Thanks for the tip.

    You should also double clutch to save the syncros too. I have also been told by that you could just start with 2nd gear when cold, as the car has enough torque to allow that method as well.

    yes, I've been double clutching in my 348 and TR for years.
