    Hi
I have a 1990 TR. As a result of searching for a rear wheel I have found a breakers that have a TR with front end damage. If you had the chance to pull out 10 items that you want or have needed in the past what would they be?

Basically Im looking for advice on things that break or go faulty and Id like to have spare parts for the future as I intend to keep this one. I have a 400i and Mondial 8 as well - im based in the UK.

CIS system complete. Expensive item if you have to go looking for bits. - If that model has a CIS and not EFI

The Fuel pumps. Yeah, baby! Always good to have around if you fill them with oil and plug them up. - Or sell them to me. :)

The fuse panel. If you look up the NEW price from Ferrari, you will know exactly whats up with that item.
    - The owner might not know about the mind breaking price that F wants for them now.

The door windows. Hard to find intact. I need a drivers side for a TR, BTW. Mine has a scratch.
Bits like light assemblies are easy to remove.

The struts for the engine compartment, if they are good, and the trunk carpet pieces.

    Andrew,
Is the Engine and clutch assembly, plus the rear transaxle plus all engine wiring harnesses (incl EFI) in tact? If so, any idea of how much they want for these components (assuming yuou don't want them)?

One thought occurs here - would it not be money ahead to just buy the whole remains in one piece rather than picking and choosing each part? I can imagine the salvage guy eventually making double or more the salvage costs by parting it out.

Good point, (I assume you mean the salvage guy).

But, you never know how far a frog will jump until you poke him with a stick.

LOL! :) Yeah, I meant the salvage guy.

I once was looking to repair my prized Thunderbird after a hit and run and actually managed to find a decent rolling chassis in salvage.
I offered to buy the damn thing entire, but they simply would not do it for any price. At least not any that I was prepared to offer.
