For the first time this winter I stored my 87 TR in my garage in Ottawa. In the past it was always stored at the Ferrari dealership in Montreal and in May when I would pick up the car it was all primed and ready to go.

As I plan to get the car ready myself this spring, can you experts please tell me what fluids I need to change or replenish and anything else that needs to be done before I put it back on the road? I am sure there are already threads that have this information so would appreciate it if you can just point me there?

    Thanks.

If your major service is up to date I would flush and change your oil with new oil filter. Would check tire pressure and set to correct pressure. Check brake pads for wear. Check level of brake fluid. Check for any leaks. Check air cleaner filter and make sure its clean. Check lamps and be sure all bulbs are working. Check coolant level in reserve tank, add to correct level if nec. Check steering tie rods for play. Check brake lines for any leaks. Check fuel lines going to fuel filters and fuel accumilators to see if any leaks are present. Make sure all hoses are secure as well (vacuum etc..) Hopefully when you stored her away you added some sort of stabilant to the fuel. Check your ignition wires especially the ones leading into the coil module. Make sure the plugs under the coolant resovoir are secure and clean. Double check round plugs under right quarter panel to see of they are secure as well. Be sure battery terminals are clean and tight. No particular order here. If all this checks out then off you go.. If I am missing something I am sure some other brothers will chime in. This is pretty much my check list and I also make it common practice to open the engine bay every month or so just to give a look see. Sometimes when she is running too just to see if I hear any noises or vibrations. Give your b*itch some love.. She will love you back..

    Hope this info helps

    Robbie,
Good list, I think you caught it all. maybe could also check wheel center-lug torque or even pull the wheels and grease the splines. Not that they will have loosened or dried up over the winter, just that spring is a convenient time to do it.

Thanks for your help guys. I will be heading back to Ottawa from Singapore in two weeks and plan to start working on the car to get it ready. I am sure I will have more questions. Thanks again.

I have been in Singapore for about a year now and on occasion seen a red testarossa. I found this on youtube. Worth a view if you want to see this beautiful city from inside a testarossa.
