Getting my TR out after a long winter storage. Any recommendations on first start up ? Spin the motor to get oil pressure before it fires, etc. Dave
Define long ? I usually make sure the battery is fully charged and then fire her up. Gas has treatment so it doesnt go stale and gum up the injectors. My usual sitting is no longer than a month. I always start it during winter, it saves the belts from retarding, and I pump the brakes to help them from not ceasing. How long has it been sitting ? Was it heated garage ? How cold was it in there durin winter ?
It usually gets started monthly, but I hate the thought of firing up a motor with no oil pressure. Gas shouldn't be an issue as it was fresh last fall. Temperatures here are seldom below freezing. Dave
