   Rumor has it that the valve adjustment shims from a Volvo will work in an '87 TR (possibly others)..........True?

   volvo 240 series shims work on a 2 valve 308 and boxer but not a 4 valve engine. So do bmw M5 6 cylinder shims. As for the TR maybe but it would be a different volvo model.
