    Hi everyone!

I just purchased a 91 TR here in Colorado, with 33k miles, and would like to know of any special things I need to do to the TR during the cold Colorado winter. My garage is not heated, do I need to get a heater? How often do I need to start it? Any special covers? etc, etc,..

    Happy Holidays!

Congratulations on the new toy!!!If it is only a few months, you really dont have to do anything. Id recommend filling fuel tank (aviods moisture) If you dont have a battery tender, give the battery an occasional slow charge (approx 2 amps) If you do start it, you should really drive it, to get all fluids up to operating temp. Good coat of wax, soft cover & treat leather. Uncover occasionally to stare at and wish for a speedy return of the nice weather :D One of my garages is not heated and I have been keeping several cars in there for the winter for many years and it doesnt effect them.

Just move to Hawaii like I did. Granted, it wasn't by choice, but it got me away from most bad weather conditions. The only thing to worry about is the random rain that comes out of a clear sky, but it normally doesn't last long.

Keeping the garage at least 55 or 60f minimum is recommended to minimize leather shrinkage. Dehumidfiers are good if you live in a rainy climate to reduce mold and mildew inside your doors and interior panels.

Run it once a month, even if you can't drive it, to full operating temperatures with the heater turned on full blast for 5 minutes or so then switch to A/C for 3 to 5 minutes. Your A/C pump and accumulator will thank you next summer.

    Me Too !

It was a nice 81 Degrees F today...clear blue sky, French doors open to the pool, palm trees swaying in the breeze :D

...had the top down on the VT Roadster to boot !

Why do you guys want to store your cars?

    ....just drive them :D

74 and sunny in Central Texas today. I am taking my 86 Testarossa out for a spin tomorrow after I install my new Chrome Shift Knob from Hill Enginerring that Santa brought me for being such a good boy this year. No winter storage issues here.

Congratulations on the new Ferrari in Colorado. Don't pack it away too tight, you may want to sneak it out a time or two if the clouds break and you get a day of sun. The heaters work great on the TR, they will blast you out of the car in no time at all. Be sure you have the A/C compressor running with the heater so that you don't fog up the inside windows. Mine runs better when it's cool and crisp in the mornings this time of year.
