    Does anyone have any ideas on how to trace a history all the way back? I have ownership records on my '77 GTB back to '97 but that's as far as the DMVs go. I know the car came from the West coast, is there any way to find more information on my car?

    Start with FML.

    Where on the West Coast. Portland, OR is still Ron Tonkin. San Francisco area would have been Steve Griswold; no longer around but people who were part of it still are. Hollywood Sport Cars is gone but Cris Vandagriff is still around. San Diego and/or Newport Beach may have had dealerships at the time.

    Also try to get a hold of an old FOC membership book from 1977 and 1978.
