I am trying to trace the original owner of my 308 - chassis number 22183.

It was originally supplied to mr Jake Phelps of Laurene Street.Alaska, 9970 by MCM on 10-13-1977

MCM was had written, not stamped in the warrant book, does anyone know who they are/were?

The GTB is Verde Medio Metallizzo which is rare in its self and presumably any Ferrari in Alaska was a rarity, so it must have caused a stir, so I am hoping someone knows more about the story.

Can anyone shed any light on the history , or the owner ?

    Thanks

My dad owned this car (s/n 22183) in the early 80's. It was white at the time. Here's a scan of an old photo that I have previously posted. I'm pretty sure I have more photos but I need to find them. If a FerrariChat member buys this car please contact me and I will give you copies of whatever I can find. Add says this is a dry sump car. It was a US-market wet sump car when dad owned it...I'm sure the seller is just mistaken.

Hi Jeff we have emailed before and you kindly supplied some photos, the car is not for sale but Classic Car magazine is running a "life cycle" article on it where they feature the history and anecdotes of a particular car. With you permission I think the Journalist would like to contact you for your memories.

I can check my 1977 books, to see if "MCM" shows as an authorized Ferrari dealer in the Service Network Brochure.

Do you have that document, with your books?
It's generic, good you already have the Warranty Coupon Book!
That's the only one that is specific to your VIN.

    Falls right in with my
    20405
    22127
    22641

From the photos it is North American specification, so, wet sump GTB
