track day at mulhouse, anneau du rhin

a group of us went to this private circuit on thursday for a track day. 3 scuds, my cs, a gt2, and a gallardo superleggera LP-570.

the day was fun of course, but the reason i am posting this is because the lambo was surprisingly incredible.

the driver won the corrida - lambo challenge series, so he is no slouch. and the car was wearing trofeo's. but otherwise completely stock.

the best scud driver had corsa's on, and is no slouch either - set a 2.10 around mugello in the same car.

the lambo was wiping the floor with him. so, they switched cars, and the lambo still passed and sped away from the scud.

i had a ride in it to see which line the lambo owner was taking, and that is an incredibly capable machine.

its too bad there were no 458's there to compare with. but there were 2 430 challenge cars there on slicks and the lambo was just about keeping pace.

driver input was nullified with the swap. some of it is due to tires. BUT overall, that car is a potent beast.

 

i put this note up just to let you guys know of this observation and see if anybody else has seen the same? so, anybody?

 

it was just organized by a friend who knows one of the owners of the track. so i dont know more than that, but can find out.
