Perhaps someone has a good checklist they can post of things to do, have, and check before going to a track day?

More than once I have almost left the helmet behind. It seems to get worse the more I go along!

I have a box that holds a can of oil, some brake fluid, bleeder catch-can, and some tools. When I am getting the car ready (changing brake pads, bleeding fluid, etc) I put any tools that I use into the box. Then I know I at least have the minimum to handle a cracked pad or something. Depends a lot of what type of car you have, and if you are driving or trailering.

Any decent track school or person holding a track even will have their own checklist. Make sure it gets signed off by a dealership or a reputable garage or you won't be allowed to partake in the excitement.

SCCA has a list I believe. Some shops will inspect your car before a track day (seattle bmw club requires this)

A Pittsburgh tool kit that says “open in case of only an emergency.” (So the dikes and 10mm isn’t missing)

And I carry a huge jack just in case of a trailer tire going bad. (I can always borrow a small one)

    WSIR yesterday rain -1:35 Sat.
    Thunderhill last week
    WSIR before that- rain
    BWRP Jan.

I’d like a good list too and then use a dry erase.
