either he missed the yellow flag at the previous corner, or the flaggies hadn't got it started yet, which is unlikely as it would have been on the radio the instant the crash happened. I'm inclined to suspect he saw the flag but didn't lift (which happens a lot).
I see a few just avoided but may have seen the incident, the other guy had nowhere to go. But you're probably right Ian, flags up there would've been out promptly !!

The Audi was stationary for quite a while - the flags should have been out (love to see the in-car footage). I suspect he had tunnel vision to the next apex, perhaps having glanced at the flag point way back up the road, he missed the yellows when his attention had moved on. In any case, an expensive exercise.
They have insurance. for about 1/4-1/3 of it.......thing is...............................the excess was(I think ) $20/50K....which is either 10% or 25% of the payout, which is about 25-30% of the total damage.
100% driver error by the guy in the Merc, who should have slowed after the yellow flag. I hope they suspend his license, not enough is done to enforce flag rules. If the Audi had been RHD, the other driver could have been killed...
I loved it, thanks. The video is typical Petrolicious waxing lyrical but not providing any hard information. Such as the fact that the 811 is not a March, it was designed by Reynard and built by RAM. It was called a March for marketing reasons, just like the Beatrice F1 car was called a Lola but wasn't designed or built by Lola. The 811 was a quick and dirty copy of a Williams FW07 and wasn't successful - it struggled to even qualify for most races. Of course it's still a DFV ground effects car and fun to drive and race
lending a hand to GD to shuttle cars to his new workshop this morning. The Countach got more attention on the trailer than the 037... Image Unavailable, Please Login
Still think the Countach is the ultimate supercar. Remember the start of Cannonball Run. My ultimate dream car !!!!
