Sorry, I got the impression this was more than just a 12 volt battery system, but something a bit special. Regarding the air conditioning system, the owner told me “There is a motor in the front guard and a battery.” I don’t know what all that means, however there is no engine driven compressor.

Whatever it has, it would be the best available.

This car has had absolutely no expense spared. It was absolutely amazing. Easily the best and most interesting car there on the day.

I'm also surprised that it seems to have a normal size alternator, yet is running electric A/C and thermo fans. I recently went through the exercise of configuring thermo fans for the the corvette and abandoned the idea because I was going to need a much higher capacity alternator with flow on effects for the wiring harness and other components.

And the end of the day this car is just a hot rodded XY fairmont, but each to his own.

btw can you register a car with a roll cage in QLD?

a lot of people say that :(

    10,000rpm = 200mph

I just found a taller 5th ratio in the US that will give me another 10mph for the same revs. Much cheaper to keep the revs down than blow the motor.

It's the ratio they ran on the big ovals, for a 245mph top speed (with much smaller wings of course)

I think you should just take both testicles with you next time you go racing - that’s got to be worth more than another 10 mph

I've done 500 miles since the rebuild. Will probably put a new bottom end in it at 750, than full rebuild at 1500.

10,000 is not an issue, it's the high boost to make 750hp from 2.6 litres that knocks the main bearings about.

Correct, but you only do up fasteners to 5ft/lb so the rotors do move enough to make a racket.
