If you think a 308 handles like it's on rails you should try a 355 , and then try my car !!!

The bloody best handling car I have ever driven ....... on a track!!

But bloody need to drive it carefully on a wet open road

They are good but you need to be a hardcore driver .... by that I mean you need to like HARD riding, bouncy open road driving which demands you pay attention all the time.

PP did a great job in making it viable for the road but maintaining the hard edge these things are renowned for

Slight confusion sorry - my friend Colleen's Abarth 124 spider, not my GTS, as we've been to Fiat Nationals.

Yes the 124 is a great little car and handles very well. It just needs more power. I think they are a little underpowered. But that still doesn't take away on how great they drive. It's been my daily now for a bit over 2 years

my burnt wing end plate is turning into a much bigger (and more expensive) job than expected. :(

It looks like nothing more than a 1/8th inch thick CF sheet, but turns out it has an internal structure for the attachment points, with a thin CF layer either side.

First photo is the core inserts being cooked under vacuum. Second is one half of the main laminate ready for the core pieces. The other half will go on top then the whole lot into the big autoclave.

Enough for 2 little old ladies to get 180km/hr at the end of Tailem Bend's very long straight, plus have a great time motorkhanaing (won the class with a Qld chap driving; he was also fastest outright on the track in his modified car), and then drive 3000km home via a few interesting places such as Lightning Ridge :D

I'm reading Adrian Newey's book "How to build a car". It's excellent. Divided into sections for each major car he designed for March, Williams, Mclaren and Red Bull.

I of course like section 2, "How to build a March 86C". :)

I got that for xmas too, interesting reading his view but I believe Rory Byrne was better head to head, not to say Newey isn't a great designer
