In Historic racing, car has to be 100% as it was in period, apart from safety items such as belts and fire system. I could sneak in modern shock internals but in practice the originals work just fine and I prefer to maintain originality.
Sorry David it was such a great shot when you were redoing Ian’s Nursery and cleaning Greg’s pool....Is the spa still blocked?.....
Having the plug pulled...bummer! https://www.velocetoday.com/a-readers-story-stand-down-in-albert-park/
Bob Lazier died on Saturday, from Covid. He was 81. I met him in 2015 when I spent a day in his workshop during the build of his son Buddy's Indy 500 car for that year. He was rookie of the year in 1981, so an Indy 500 veteran and a lovely bloke. He's on the left in this photo. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Sorry to hear about your mate Ian. He looked like he was a pretty healthy 76 year old in that photo in 2015.
I'm dismantling the March for an engine refresh, discovered the hose from turbo to inlet manifold was ruptured. Half my boost hasn't got to the engine. Fark, no wonder Guido out-dragged me off the line! Image Unavailable, Please Login
The guy in front has a slightly slower car but he knows where to place it on track to stop the overtake, good driving on his part & it certainly looks like fun
Not the original type of hose Ken, I thought I'd be clever and use a modern turbo hose, but clearly it couldn't cope with the high boost. My mistake.

Must have been the week for it, I replaced a blown turbo hose underground today on one of our machines.
