2 days to dismantle, will take at least 4 to put back together. It's all good though, have already fixed a number of minor wear & tear things, plus I'm going to ceramic coat the exhaust and lose the daggy wrapping. Really looking forward to the engine rebuild, its such a beautiful piece of pure engineering. Also an excuse to buy some new tools. Including a ring gap grinder
I'm just doing rings and beatings. So no machining cost and the pistons will be reused - I'm not expecting any skirt wear. Maybe $150 to linish the crank. About $3K for parts. The only unknown is if I damaged the heads with my overheating episode at Phillip Island. A pair of good used heads will be about US$10K, double that for new.
