Now that’s what I call wall art! 6 months??? Geez they must really dislike you mate….. Shame, I was really looking forward to listening to Satan on the track day… The best sounding Ferrari V8 for me (followed very closely by a 360CS)
Saw him & one of the Flying Finns doing handbrake 360s on the main straight at Lakeside in the '60s. Amazing car control.
Bonneville speedweek cancelled due to rain! Bloody climate change, if only they'd build more windmills
A great driver, winner of two New Zealand grand prix and Tasman Rounds. Niel also set the outright lap record at Bathurst in an F5000 McLaren.
I’m not sure if this is common knowledge, such a shame. https://www.carsales.com.au/editorial/details/motorsport-wakefield-park-set-to-close-137099/
Lakeside has had ONE arsehole giving JT gip for years , he built his house next to the track AFTER the track had been there for MANY years and then thought he could get the track closed down by complaining and using his own DB meter to record excessive noise and reporting it ...... some people are just arseholes
RIP Reg Hunt, who passed away this morning in his sleep. Perhaps the last remaining 1950s racer still alive who raced a Maserati 250F in the period. Perhaps the longest serving current member of the BRDC. The sole remaining race driver of the 1956 Albert park AGP. RIP. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Jeez it doesn’t seem that long ago when Paul Samuels was involved with building it..I remember taking the Front Engined Cooper Bristol around it just after it was finished…
Perhaps the best photo I have seen of Stan Jones in his Maserati 250F #2520. Image Unavailable, Please Login
