I am planning to participate in the Concorso le Belle Macchine d'italia club event June 22-25 2007 at the Pocono International Speedway. What is the situation with track insurance?? I heard of www.Laurelde.com; what is their reputation?? I understand that normal insurance policies will not cover any type of track events. My understanding is that if you track your Ferrari, one should be prepared for a total loss. Advice appreciated.
This has come up several times here do a search to get some answers yes worst thing it can happen is you total the car and/or get hurt I've seen heavy damage on new ones. Realistically depends on how hard are you going to push and your experience with the usual out of your control possibilities In the past some 'normal' insurances covered non-timed events but these days they wised up and most don't cover 'track' events at all. I know of a few cases where the driver totalled the car the insurance initially denied the claim but after much back and forth they got some money but got dropped afterwards. Cheers
