I plan on going to the 50th FCA reunion at Elkhart Lake, Wis. I would like to drive my scud during the track events. I am concerned about whether my car insurance would cover a track event. I have American Family Ins that covers multiple cars and home, I am in my late 50s with a clean record. I asked my agent who contacted his underwriters and they said they would not cover this track event. How do other members insure themselves at these events?

I never have for track driving...I doubt I am the exception? I think the only thing that the insurance companies will slide (sometimes) are driver instruction type events. which generally, track days are not. Hence- I always just focus on not wrecking :)

You can purchase stand alone track insurance. It'd probably run a grand or so for a scud depending on the value you put on it. It's cheaper if the laps aren't timed, so if there's a time trial or similar don't participate.
