Anyone use the FCA track numbers - either Magnetic or Reusable? I plan to remove from car after each event (about 6-8 events per year) and am concerned with durability and any damage to surface.

I currently use specially made Vinyl numbers that I use and discard after each event.

    Thanks.

I haven't used FCA magnetic numbers, but I have used magnetic stone guards on my BMW M Roadster up to speeds of 130+ MPH and they stayed put. I was told (and I followed the advice) to clean the area very well and apply a fresh coat of wax to both the car and the magnetic surface before putting the magnetic guards on.

I have magnetic numbers (not from FCA). They work great, but remember that the body panel where you place them must be steel and not aluminum. Make sure that the paint is clean when you apply them and you will not cause any abrasion to the paint. They will probably be filthy when you remove them at the end of the day. Just wipe them off and store them flat. I have used mine about five times with no issues. My car is black, so plain white numbers with no background look fine. You can buy them in many sizes, colors and fonts.

Here is the address of the company that PBOC gave me as where they get the numbers for their events. At first I used them once and tossed them, then I tried reusing them, and have used the current ones half a dozen times. I try to put them on the night before, and quick detail the area to make sure it is clean. Have used them up to about 160 and no problem. I just put them back on the wax type paper they came off of.

    These seemed really cheap.
