    looking for a new set of gloves. looking for something that doesn't extend much past the wrist like the current OMP gloves i have.......any suggestions ? mostly for track day use...

    Unless you've got a major issue with perspiration, ditch the gloves.

    It's an unnecessary layer that masks feedback between the contact patch and your hands.

    i like Sparco Tide, which was their top line last year as i recall. In the F2000 that added knuckle padding helped when shifting, as it is CLOSE to the frame and body panel. The gloves are very grippy and comfortable, especially dealing with vibration as experienced in a car that is about, oh, an inch off the ground or as low as we can get it until with a full tank the bottom is literally bumping on the high spots on the track.

    Ringer X are really nice. Not too expensive and hold up well. I also like Sparco's gloves.
