He guys if you ever want some track time, in someone else's car, your choice of exotics with an instructor? You got to go to Exotic Racing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. You can drive or do a ride along, it's a blast and the car doesn't belong to you. Here's my link from last week. This was a blast and they have every exotic you could want to drive.
Go to YouTube, search Ferrari F430 Las Vegas Speedway, mine is listed; by: bobrichmon

If you are you an experienced HPDE driver this is a waste of money IMO.....for the novice that wants to drive an exotic and learn it's good....

They do, pricing is on their site. They make you keep the revs a few 1000k below redline though.

That's why I haven't done it yet. Wanted to try a Scuderia, as no one in my town has one, but having to shift at 5k, from what I've heard, no thanks. They are supposed to be getting an Aventador though, maybe by then they will change their policy, or maybe the drivers that ride along accept bribes?

This is by no means a performanced based company....they want you to have fun and bring the car back in one piece....and experienced driver in a stock C5Z would run circles around the exotics the way they have you drive.....waste of money IMO.....

This is not true. I did it when i went to the USA in June. I was revving the cars right out til redline..

458, 430 scuderia, superleggerra, murceilago, GTR and R8

It is fun but the track is fairly small so really dont get out of 3rd gear until the main straight..

That's nice to know, I just heard otherwise, and I thought I saw it in one of their videos. Cool.

It may depend on the driver and/or type of instructor but i gave the cars a fair bit of stick, changed gears high in the rev range and braked very late into the first corner of the straights.. Even got the scuderia giving a nice little wiggle on power out of the first exit... :)

most ppl never get a chance to own and drive so many cars, so i think its a great bit of fun to do so..

it showed me that the R8 was boring, the GTR was quick but had no sould and the supperleggerra wasnt as exiciting as the scuderia or 458...

when im back in vegas next year im going to head back as i think they have a maclaren and aventador coming.. so they would be great to drive..

They DO have (multiple) 458s and they DO let you rev to redline. Here's a video of me driving a 458 Italia at Exotics Racing in Las Vegas. Perfect for novice drivers...not for experienced high performance drivers unless you're in it just for the car. Personally, I highly recommend it.

They do let you run it up to red line, but of course prefer you don't blow it up. Cars were in great shape and all had upgraded brakes from factory. It's a great experience for the novice. I did the F430 and it ran close to $300 for the 5 laps and they give you about 30 minutes of schooling. After the class they drive you around the track to show you the layout and racing line. They have traffic cones which mark braking zone, layup for the turn, apex & exit position. It was a great step to get you to have some experience before tracking your own car or trying out many models of cars before you buy your own. It was worth every penny!

The car does not make power to redline, at least in my case. I drove the Scuderia in Sport mode, and it was just not pulling past 6500 RPM like it should have. I was shifting around 7300, and it felt strung out. If you're in it for the car, go for it, but be warned: the computers REALLY hold the car back. Throttle response is extremely slow. Worth it? Sure, go for 5 laps. Advice - take a ride-along with one of the pros in the Scuderia. That will show you what it can really do.

Looks very rookie drive, should get to know the track better, before jumping into car. Then will have a lot more fun.

When I did it, they asked me to keep the 430 and Scud at 6.5k RPM shifts. I sneaked in a couple red line runs, but then one instructor said something to me about it. That was the only negative, and otherwise it was a fantastic experience and I'd recommend it. I drove the F430, Scud, and Vantage, and did the GT3RS ridealong (awesome!) and think it was $925 or so. I just booked it online http://www.exoticsracing.com/ . You can see thier selection of vehicles there.

I'm going back to Vegas for two days at the end of this month. I plan to stop by again just to listen and watch to the cars go around the track. I may drive something again, but it is pretty pricey.

Ya, the sport mode on the track was annoying, as it really withheld power bad unless the wheel was perfectly straight. I'm sure its absolutely for them as a company to require it, but it is annoying if you know what you are doing.

Still worth it for sure though.

I went last year and had a blast. I shifted at redline in the 458 (and the other 5 cars I drove). None of the instructors said anything. I had 6 different instructors in the cars with me. I'm going again in two weeks. If one of them asks me to shift early, I'll ignore him (there is only one straight worth really getting on and staying on the power btw and its kinda short). I'm driving the 458, Scud and Superleggera back-to-back-to-back to help me think about what I want to buy next. This operation is a very well run and very fun way to spend a few hours...highly recommended. I'm taking my brother for his birthday present this month, can't wait to see how much he enjoys this!

Let me know how you like the LP570-4 SL. If I don't pursue the Scuderia, I am interested in this car as pricing are equalizing between the two, or getting close.
