We have negotiated a weekend with Speed Trials USA to have an exotic car only run group at their Buttonwillow event in January!!!!!!!!!!!!! This would be a limited run group of about 15 cars (25-30 cars normally) Speed Trials will provide race instructors at no additional cost as well..You are guarenteed (5) 20 minute sessions each day Saturday and Sunday.... This is not a RACE yet an opportunity to bring your car to the track and see what it is capable of doing permitting your skills..... Very strick passing rules to avoid the opportunity of accidents. Only 2 passing zones in straight aways and no passing in turns to limit the opportunity of unsafe driving.... We need 15 guys to sign up so we can have all exotics in the same group together.....this avoids having random cars in our group with alot less horsepower and more likely to keep the exotics from getting a solid 20 minutes out of their car.... This track is very safe and has no walls or barriers to hit if you go off the track which allows you to push your car harder without the risk of damage! The point is to have a great time with other exotic car owners and have the opportunity to really understand what you car is capable of doing. I look forward to that weekend because it is always a great time!! If interested feel free to leave questions or contact me Rick (951) 733-6874 Thank You

Yes lets rally the Ferrari troops. What is the January date? I assume a saturday and sunday. What track configuration proposed? You may want to let the FCA guys know about your plan. Perhaps you could get 1 or 2 of their guys to show up.

    Rick etal,

I do not know if it matters but you guys can just sign up on the http://www.speedtrialusa.com/ site. I do not know how that effects Ricks plans to get a "group" but there is all the data of the event runners, times, cost etc... I hope you get a nice turnout rick. I have never been to an event with more than 5 F-cars. I will however, come out to play so you can count me in. You may want to contact kevork (track coordinator) from FCA about your plans too. He can usually rally one or two guys. These events are really safe by the way. There is no car to car contact and only passing in designated straights. While Ferrari guys think they have fast cars many will be surprised by the Honda that blows by them.

Ah Buttonwillow... one of my favorite southern California tracks! Should provide loads of fun, just be weary of the last turn before the front straight, it's been known to eat up a car or two if you have little self control with your right foot!

Yes you can go to that website for the information at the time i didnt have the speciafic dates but i believe its the 22nd and the 23rd of January!!! Our idea was to get the F-cars in our event so we can all run together, it just makes it more fun and alot safer...... Please contact Rick 951 733-6874 if you are interested because we want to get everyone signed up as soon as possible.... it will be a blast I promise you and for all of you that have been before will probably agree! We need 15-20 guys at $400 a piece to complete our own session and have all F-cars on the track!!!! Have a great day Ferrari chatters and hope to see you at the track!!!!!

I'd like to hear how many of you are going to this event so I am not lost out there in a sea of ricers (who don't care about rubbing fenders to prove something).

If we get a group together in the different run group, we can probably run some interference so that a few can have free reign until they catch up the stagger. I do this with my Viper and Porsche friends and it makes it much more fun and safe.

I haven't decided whether I am doing this event or not... but the price is great. If I do it, I will be in the intermediate group.

    Brad
