funny you should ask. :) i posted these pics because yesterday i just picked up my '06 Gallardo to replace the '04. haven't driven the new car (which has e-gear. the old one had a stick.) enough yet, but i will post impressions after the weekend.

as far as the '04 on the track, it's true what they say that it is quite well mannered on the track. car tends to understeer (which you don't expect from a mid-engine) though you can get the tail to come out to play if you add enough throttle. you definitely need to turn off traction control as it uses the brakes to create the effect which tends to make them wear out faster.

brakes are super on the car. they will eventually fade a bit after several runs (as they are not racing pads and rotors), but i was impressed with how quickly i stopped and how frequently i was able to stop it quickly during the day. second gear acceleration in the sweet spot (4500 rpm+) is just crazy.

occasionally i mis-shifted the manual (part of the downside of the metal gates i suppose), but heel-toe is super easy in the car. and everyone seemed to like the sound of the thing as it sped by. :D

    Shouldn't your number be 666??? :)

Looks like you had fun!!! Let us know which car you prefer on the track, the manual or the e-gear...

Your transponder is clearly visible in all the pics, so... What were your lap times?

    Thanks for sharing the pics.
