Has anyone attempted to put a traction control system on a 348? I've been offered the chance to have it done. System is by race Logic. It has wet, dry etc settings. Can be switched off as well. What do you guys think?
I think it´s a good idea if you want to learn to drift with your car. Racelogic is a very good system, my only concern with it is that they cut the fuel instead of the ignition to regulate the traction. But if you want to drive the car on the track or go fast in rain it will be a great solution.
NO...buy a vette! The best thing about 348 is they have nothing on them...no power steering...no TC...just car.
.......... lol............. ...............too late........... the proverbial cat is out of the bag................ Sy is a 'closet hairdresser'.........!!!! .............lol
Just received a TC system from race Logic this morning. Going to have it installed in the next few weeks. And yes.... people having been making fun of me and saying i shouldn't get it, need to learn to use my right foot.. blah blah blah blah blah. If I listened to other people, I wouldn't have got a 348 in the first place. Excellent idea bro. I was about to suggest you start shopping for a new wardrobe - of skirts! Step away from the TC crap and no one will get hurt. It's for your own good, bro.
I'll have to google that system. I'm getting ready to add TC to my 308 but I'm thinking I'll do it though a motec ecu.
Good for you Sy - you're curious to see what the system does; and I'm sure that you will give us an honest report on the difference between standard and the options that the system offers. Tough when you take the lead! Looking forward to reading your results posts.
Thanks. I'm planning to do a proper test of the system. have booked two Airfield activity days in the next few months and will be trying out the settings. Filming everything as I go along. Wether it works or is a waste of money, we'll know by the end of the year.
I'm betting you aren't realy giong to notice any improvement, at least not in the dry becasue a 348 just doesn't have enough hp. My 308 at 350 hp was quite easy to control even in 1st gear. At 550 hp it was damn near to impossible to control in 1st gear and 2nd was much better and 3rd was pretty bad on cold tires which is when I decided TC waas the way to go. Now with the new engine projected to hit 800hp I think TC is manditory.
