Ok, I have a decision to make and need a little advice. First off, as you may or may not know, I have a 97 Lotus Esprit V8. When I was originally looking for one, I couldn't find the color I wanted and went ahead and bought my red one. Well, my friend has an identical car, but in white -- my preferred color -- that he offered to sell me. Am I strange for seriously considering this? Is it worth going through the hassle just to change colors?

Anyone want to buy a red 97 Esprit?

Change is good, but changing cars is always a hassle?

It just so happens that white is an excellent color for a sports car. Is his car as good as yours? Could you move your red car and keep the white one for little or no transactional $$$? If so, then go for it. If not, then........

I would like to do it, but I need to line up a buyer for my car first, and I don't know how long he is willing to wait for me. Until I get my condo sold, there will be no additions without subtractions first. <two house notes is a b*tch!>

    Sean,
Consult w/ your agent, and consider rent for condo. There's this deal that you rent out your property while it's on a market. Your rent fee will be lower, but you don't have to pay two mortgages. It's a temporary rent, so the tenant will take care of your place & agree to show anytime (but w/ at least 10 or 15 min phone notice)

I did that when I sold my condo in Las Colinas. Pilot rent out the condo for 3 months. I could refuse some low ball offers as he was paying mortgage & some portion of HOA!

I would swap the same car for different color. Some colors are rare, and especially you like the new color, go for it. changing color of your car is like changing your clothes! (assuming you don't lose money,,,)
