Just trying to get potential trade in value from land rover and or car max. I want to know what i can get for this thing selling privately and what LR and CM would offer? I think 15 -17K is fair selling privately considering the low mileage(60K) and brand new Michelin Sports on it. Im guessing the offer from CM and LR will be way lower.

    Thanks for any help,
    Ry

Out of curiosity what margins are most dealers like CM and LR looking for on trade ins?

The guy who buys it is going to want 1000 - 1200 off the sticker price.

The dealer is going to want to still make $2000 on the sale.

Plus, no matter how nice it looks to you, the dealer will likely still spend money on detail, brakes, tires, safety, and other recon before putting it on their lot. Potential buyers are usually a lot pickier than current owners when it comes to these things.

In my experience, $12-14k would be considered good trade-in. Expect a first offer of $10k.
