    Hello again everybody,

I could find no circumvent way around this with regards to these 2 cars.

I've been wondering would owners of 599 GTO even think about trading in their car for the F12? I know this is somewhat a similar yet different element compared to people trading in their Scud for a 458. But what are your thoughts? I think the GTO looks a lot more aggressive, most likely hold it's value while the F12's tag would just drop a little bit a few years down the road.

For all the power the F12 offers, I still think the GTO is much more appealing. Don't get me wrong in terms of exterior, nut the rear of the F12 is beautiful like the 8C alfa, but not aggressive like the GTO.

To each their own, I'm thinking FF/8C lovers who liked the 599 GTB would prefer the F12's elegance rather than the 599 GTO's brutal aggressiveness. But which type of car are you more ardent about?

Frankly i think it is near insanity to trade in your 599 GTO for an F12, or am I the only looney here?

    Take care everybody.

If I own 599 GTO, I would never trade it for F12.

But if I dont own 599 GTO, I would take new F12 over used 599 GTO without thinking!

F12 curves are unbeatable, just look at this shot:

    What's an F12???

Ohhh, the new Ferrari road car? So technologically wonderful that your wife can drive it to the supermarket?

The GTO is a real Ferrari. The last of a dying breed..... Limited production....

I think my call sign sort of gives away the bias??? I think the F12 will go down as an instant classic, a car that will redefine Ferrari for the next decade. The external design defies words to describe the aggressive and graceful beauty, and the technological advances in engine design will be written about by auto journalists for years in similar manner to Greek poets carrying on the story of Homer's Odyssey. Okay, perhaps that is an exaggeration, but I do think the F12 represents the new supercar benchmark for at least a decade. I thank my lucky stars that I'm in a position where my name is on an order list, and it will be a day to remember when I receive the car sometime late next year.

Depends on how many cars I had and for what purpose I was using them.

For lots of long distance traveling I'd prefer the F12, but for anything else then the GTO.

Since not many GTO or 599 owners chimed in I guess anyone can give an opinion.

The GTO is more a track car, isn't it. I've read reviews about its stiffer suspension and twitchy drive train that make it less a street car. So trading it for a street car doesn't make much sense to me....unless the owner doesn't track much and wants a streetable car.

As for the looks comparison, I like the GTO and 599 way better. Not sold on the F12 curves and flairs yet. Almost hate both front and rear facias. Side profile is nice though.

Nope, 599 design workd better for me.

Do both! Why rack your brain with tough decisions.

The GTO is actually fairly comfortable to drive on the street.

If I had a GTO, I wouldn't be selling it. But I would be adding an F12.

If you're not into the styling that can be because:

    1. it simply doesn't appeal to you today.

    2. tastes change and the manufacturers (the smart ones like Ferrari) will design something not just to look good now, but for years in the future. You may grow to enjoy it.

My opinion is the F12 strikes me as a very modern take on the 275 GTB. Its nice when you have that heritage to draw on.

I heard from guy from italy independent pro racedriver (he owns a 599 gto as well) and he drove the f12 on fiorano, the f12 is much more sportive and faster then the gto he said the f12 blow your mind and blows the 599 gto away (don`t ask me who is the Guy ) you can belief or wait for the first magazine tests and then everybody is talking about the best ever ferrari until the enzo replacement.
(And Amedeo Felisa said (in Geneva) its maybe the last V12 series car from Ferrari because of EU regulation)

For a long road trip (which I don't like by the way) I would take my Escalade and leave my Ferrari at home.

I like both cars but the GTO is just that extra. Maybe the f12 is faster but I would prefer the rawness of the GTO. Plus that sound is just incredible!!

I find that very hard to believe. The F12 may be faster but it blows the GTO away ... that's were I pass!!!

In my opinion you can't compare the GTO with the F12 so replacing the GTO with an F12 would NOT be an option for me. The GTO is too special for that in many ways. Mine isn't going anywhere (other than staying with me) and I'm not planning on adding the F12 to my stable anytime soon.

The GTO is simply a classic. The F12 is brand new and will take time to earn it's reputation which it no doubt will over time. Both cars are beautiful and perform beyond imagination. I'd hold on to the GTO and find a way to buy the F12 , with the long wait to get the F12 you'll have time to save up the money!

From what I've been reading and watching, the F12 is to the 599 as the 458 is the 430 - leaps and bounds ahead - which means that on the street, it's going to be even more awesome than Ferrari's official video of the car.

IMO: If you own a GTO and a bunch of other Ferraris, you're in a different ownership bracket and it's more of an "add" than a trade. If you only own the GTO, put your order in for the F12. Like the 458, I don't think you're going to be disappointed.
