trade in?

anyone know if some of the exotic used car dealerships take trade ins? I have a 02 M3 Cabrio I wanted to get rid of.

Lamborghini Bergen County for sure... I've seen M3 there once already.

 

Just about every dealership on earth takes trade-ins....on the "used car food chain", trade-ins represent the top (or bottom, from the perspective of the consumer, since it's the worst price you'll get).

Generally, used cars go:

trade-in -> auction -> wholesaler -> dealer -> customer

Not every car goes through every step, of course, but there's a bit of profit picked up along each step. That's why dealers always like to buy trade-ins and sell right back to customers -- that's the most possible profit in the transaction.

As a large, new car franchise employee I can say Noah isnt too far off.


We will take a trade and wholesale/auction it if its not a retail-able piece. What that means, is older models (Pre-2001) are much harder to get financing on and we cant certify the vehicles due to age.

If we were to take in a 2002 M3, that is a retail-able car. We most likely would not wholesale or bring it to auction. We run it thru the shop, make it right and get it out on the lot.


I cant imagine any car dealer out there, new or used, that would not entertain a 2002 M3 as a trade in for any vehicle they have in stock.
