Does anybody know if Mercedes Benz will offer a decent price for a trade-in? I have an appointment at the dealership in a couple of hours. Depending on what they give me for my '05 Maserati Coupe, I might get a CLK320 convertible. My girlfriend drives the Maserati and has been wanting a CLK for a while, so I figure this might be a perfect time to get rid of the Maserati without having to deal with the hassle of the selling process.

I'm not familar with trade-ins or even MB for that matter, although I have a feeling their offer will be too low for me to take it. Does anybody have any experiences doing something similar and if the trade-in offer was fair?

    Thank you.

Most dealerships just go off the Kelly Blue Book trade-in value, which is usually a painfully low number.... and you haggle from there.

I don't know any dealers who use KBB.

Everyone I know in the business bases trades off of what similar cars are selling for at Manheim.

Or Galves. I've never seen KBB used either but it could be in certain places.
