My wife heard something about a number of Gotham's cars that were stopped for speeding going to Montreal. Anyone know what happened?

Silly of the commentator; Vermont highways are not crowded but we all know the drill. You can cruise at 90 mph for vast stretches. And the Kancamagus in NH simply rocks if you can hit it traffic free.

Typical 'sensationalistic' reporting making much ado about nothing (or at least something that's not that big a deal to those of us who occasionally drive with 'spirit'). Mike Taibbi (a decent enough guy) is a longtime NYC local station reporter, and thus knows just how to turn nothing into something.

If I got an $800 speeding ticket, I'd probably never speed again...

...until the cop got off the freeway. :-/

    Bwaha!

Guess they didn't read the GDC contract.

Nice clips of Noah and Rob, albeit brief.

That was the BEST piece of advertising GDCs could EVER get!! Face time on national TV, showing off the beautiful cars, cop dash-cam footage of the cars on the highway.... doesn't get better than that.

It doesn't! But it does give people ideas which may not be good for business. Hopefully people see this and enjoy the ride safely with the thought of ticket costs and court appearances if they decide to go "Cannonball".

Honestly IMHO I don't think the news article will spur any ideas one wouldn't already have had.. People are going to speed in the cars regardless, just the nature of it all!

I know people are going to speed, but mix 15 exotic cars together it becomes a risk. Its cool to speed with caution, not cool to speed to keep up with your friends testosterone. Maybe it's just me I think differently with each of those events.

I suspect the piece was a posative for any of GDCs target market.
I doubt any soccer moms or Dads with car seats in the Lexus or Grandpa's in Lincoln continentals who might have complained are in the target market.

If you are going to rent an exotic why not just coordinate it for a track day so you can beat the snot out of it and not worry about tickets.

If you are out and about you are much better off be solo than in a pack of folks, many who don't have a clue about car control and are speeding in a pack - can be very costly both physically and financially.

Actually, blowing by cars on a two lane road in excess of twice the speed differential isn't spirited driving - its reckless driving. If something were to go wrong, the consequences would be serious. Equally, if a cop spots you doing this, the consequences he or she rains down on you should also be serious.
