Hi, just wanted to post this. I know there are some similar threads/ topics here. But this is regarding a problem I have had for many years. Very annoying tramlining. My car ( 512 TR) would just stear by itself in any direction. So always 2 hands on the steering wheel to correct it when it suddenly happened.
Over the years I replaced all the bushings in the front, eventually the wheel bearings, the steering rack. And did alignement with extra "toe in". But for a long time I have suspected the tires. But Pirellis are the OEM tire and I was a bit reluctant to change. And my mechanic also wanted to keep the original Pirellis.
But now I put on Michelin PS4 and the problem has been reduced to the point where I don`t notice it. It has transformed the car.
So if there are people here that struggle with tramlining - go ahead and try Michelin PS. They are softer in the sidewall and therefore behave better on road.

Tires are the only part of your car that touch the road. They are crucial.

Even on our 4C, the switch from OEM Pirellis > Michelin PS4S was a huge improvement.

It's amazing how much tires can make a difference. I bought a car once and drove 3+ hours home. Had some cheap Kumhos, relatively new. On the highway I felt like I would lose it if I went over 50. Got home and put some decent tires on and the car drove completely different.

Agree on the PS4S. Also in the past on different cars directional tyres on the front cured it.
