About to change the motor mounts and transmission mount in my 430. Preparing for the job it appears that I will need a tool to press the trans mount out of the housing. Might anyone have the Hill tool they are no longer using or want to rent. Seems like a waste to purchase it for a one time use. If anyone has a substitute for the Hill Tool I am open to that also. Thank you in advance for your help !

I removed the mount without a tool and most who damage the tool do it removing rather than installing.

Use a hole cutter to chew the rubber out then carefully cut two slots two thirds to three quarters of the way through the outer shell with a hacksaw. Then using a small chisel push the metal in between the cuts up and then along the cuts, tearing the remaining metal. Once your two thirds of the way across it will come loose and just fall out. Easy peasy....

When installing the new one use a torque wrench set to the max torque of the tool so you don’t monkey the threads.
I used the HE tool but to be honest I’d have bought a set of press sleeves for half the price if doing it again. Particularly as they can be used for the ball joints and shock bushes (and many other things)
