Has anyone used the RedLine Shockproof oil in their transmission - I ran in my other car (more a track car) with success - or should I use the standard NS for street driving. Opinions? Also opinions on engine oils?

Depends on the kind of car. I called Redline and the tech there said for rear transaxle car (rear engine Ferrari) the best was 75w-90 NS. For limited slip rear differential you may not want NS.

The sales man at the race shop said he uses regular 75w-90 in his racing Porsche without problems.

There is a thread on this in the past if you do a search.

Again may depend on the kind of car you are using it in.

Sorry, I should have been more specific - I am refering to a 92 348TS - and wanting to improve the shift feel. I have read a number of threads on the issues and saw 75W90NS but didn't see anything about the Redline shockproof oil for normal city driving.

I use the NS in my '94 348. Works really well. According to Redline Tech it has special additive to make it stick to synchro's. If you have some notchy shifts you may want to try. Alot on this sight will swear by light weight shockproof. I have not tried it. According to Redline it's more for rear differential than transaxle.

I am a huge fan of Redline shockproof. I have used it many times, and several times I could not have finished a race if not for Redline Shockproof.

The Lightweight (blue) shockproof was a miracle in my 308.
I don't like it as much in my 355, and I am going to try some of my alternatives. Next I will perhaps try a successful mixture I have used with 50/50 MTL and ATF.

Proabably not going to have time to do this for 2 weeks, but I recommend that you don't do it based on my firsthand experience.
