I wasnt really sure if this belongs here, or on this site even but I figured I would give it a shot as I couldnt find a specific Chrysler forums for my car. Took it in for regular matience and on the second sheet of the recipet it has a section for recommended maitence. "trans pan sweating"...what does this mean? Is this just some money grab or do they actually mean something by this? has anyone else had this recommendation made on any other make or model of their car? specifically this is a Chrysler Intrepid...

    Thanks!

"Sweating" is common....it's not quite a leak, more like dampness around a certain area. Very common around gearboxes as well. While it may not look pretty, for the most part it isn't a big thing to worry about.
