    I just wanted to pass along a company that I would recommend for transporting cars. I just sold my '93 MB 500E to a guy in GA. The first transporter the buyer was going to use called me to say he was going to pick up the car in a couple hours. I told him that I needed more lead time and he said that's how transporters work. To make a long story short, the buyer used a different transportation company, D & D Transport based in Phoenix, AZ. This company called me the day before pick up to schedule a time. He then called me in the morn to let me know that he got delayed and would be coming later. He then called when he was about 30 minutes out to give me a heads up. The truck was fairly new, clean, and in great shape. He already had a 360, an Audi, 7 series, and a 1929 Ford Model A in it. The rig and trailer were completely covered. The driver was very professional and did a great job. No affiliation...just wanted to pass it on.

    My car was available Saturday at noon. I called in the day before and it was picked up in Houston on Saturday afternoon. It was then delivered to me on Monday Afternoon in northern San Diego. I transported a Maserati and Angel took great care of me and my car. I cannot believe how fast it arrived. The communication was right on and Angel took a real interest in helping me to understand the whole process and costs and benefits of the different types of transport trucks. I have used "exotic car transport" in the past and was considering using them again but the communication, the cheapy fax they sent me and they told me that my car would not be here for another week at least. So I am very happy with this service...actually I am amazed at how quickly and smoothly it went.

    When I bought my 328 from a guy in Arkansas last January, I used Horseless Carriage out of Paterson, NJ. Also an enclosed trailer, driver was extremely professional and the car arrived right when they said it would, in perfect condition. I would use them again. NAYYY, just a satisfied customer.

    I should mention that FerrariChat sponsor Intercity Lines did a great job for me. Great communication, right on time and a great rate on a enclosed truck. I also saved a little extra money by going on a standby rate. Had to wait a few extra days while they moved the cars home the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Well if they're good enough for those cars, they're good enough for me! I certainly would use them again.

    Really nice guy! He does a lot of transportation east of the Mississippi. I just called about a cross-country haul and he was very honest and candid with me. When I need something transported on the east coast, he's going to be the first call on my list. Thanks for the recommendation, mesoscale!
