so what are the lap times for a street prep non-racecar 308 on a north american circuit? its been like 15yrs of asking... for all the high traffic enthusiast here on fchat that seemingly knows everything, nobody has come forward? i know of a genuine micholloto gr4 car that raced at luguna seca. i recall the laptimes were slower than 140hp spec miatas which are well documented. but a gr4 micho is a high dollars historic car....you know what they say, "the fastest car is the one you dont really care about" :) are there any updates on 308s laptimes on track day? It shouldnt be such a mystery in these days with transponders. hell u can even get laptimes through your iphone.

i used to attend the ferrari challenge race in the uk. i recall a highly modified blue 308gt4 typically qualifying 1st or 2nd row amongst 355 and testorossas, it was an impressive car. another englishman hotshoe behind the wheel did well against the moderns in a 308 racecar. I forgot his name (simon ?) he's was development driver for intrax suspensions on their popular gtv6 packaged that was tuned on the ring. i have photos somewhere.

having said that for about 5 yrs the 348 355 challenge and porsche cup ran on the same weekend supporting the F1 races I used to go to. these were based mostly on stock cars with limited drivetrain or suspension modifications. I recall laptimes of the much faster lowered powered 911s were in another zip code from the fcars. im sure the drivers had something to do with it but still.
