My girlfriend and I are trying to plan a trip to Europe in February and have a couple destinations. Paris is one, Lyon possibly another, Venice, but of course, I would love to go to Maranello.

Most likely, we will be going to Venice first. Does anyone know the travel time between Venice and Maranello?

Yes but don't forget the hour to reach your car (or the station) from your Venice hotel plus the likelihood of snow or fog on the autoroute at that time of year - by train is not much better as there's usually one change and a long cab ride as I recall - have a good trip !

actually, i'd skip venice if i were you...
i was seriously dissappointed in that town. it's just too much, an overdose of romance.

firenze is a much better choice, imho

    Overdose of romance?

I talked with her, and she spilled it. She wants to go to the Venice Carnival for the masquerade and costume ball(s). I think that will be a fantastic time.

Still, I will be in Italy and will do my damndest to get to Maranello. She doesn't know why....no matter how many times I explain it.

The streets at the time of Carnivale are astonishing - the ultimate people parade perhaps - I hope you have accomodation - other than that just mooch around & enjoy - you could probably get to Maranello (& back) in a long day by public transport

Bring cash beforehand, or will there be some exchange shops?

She has friends in Paris and I think they will be getting some rooms there. Not sure on all the details yet, this is her trip and she invited me to go.
