Traveling into Greece next week... strike status?

We're taking a family vacation which starts in Athens towards the end of next week and continues on, via sailboat cruise, through the Greek Islands and beyond.

My question is for anyone living in Greece and specifically in Athens about the situation there. Yesterday the news reports were pretty disturbing showing lots of unrest in the streets and dock closures preventing people getting to the main harbor where boats/ferries are docked.

Question: Was this one of the "scheduled" strikes which subside as quickly as they start or does this look like an on-going situation that we need to monitor through the weekend and into next week? It's hard to tell from here (California).
