    Hi all!

This might seem like a strange place to ask for travel advice, but I have already received some great recommendations from Italian Ferrari Chat members during our recent travels. I think you can rely on Ferrari owners and fans to have good taste ;)

My girlfriend and I have been traveling in Italy (not in the Ferrari both unfortunately and fortunately, some of the Italian roads are certainly not made for their own cars. But some would be awesome). We have been around Emilia-Romagna, Florence, Rome, Sorrento and Amalfi (over 3.5 months).

Now we are more off the beaten track. Right now in Calabria, next we will be in Sicily, Puglia, Abruzzo, Umbria and finally Piedmont. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations of amazing places to visit in these regions. In particular, we love the regional variations of food in Italy, so places where we can try great ingredients, liqueurs, wines etc are perfect. e.g. Tomorrow we will be trying nduja at the producers in Spilinga. I know, it's 'off season', but we like to travel when it's quiet!

Many thanks if anyone is able to give some suggestions!

The old city in Otranto (southern Puglia) Great food culture.
Oropa in Piedmont (Biella) for the views if you're in Piedmont.
The Aeolean islands (Sicily) On Panarea is Da Pina, I think the old lady is still there cooking every day.

I think you mean the Maranello Rosso Collection of the late Fabrizio Violati. It no longer exists.

I've been going to the Biella area for roughly 30 years, and Oropa is fantastic. The road from Biella to Oropa is where Pantani fell off his bike, and in less than 10Km won the stage of the Giro d'Italia many years ago. His jersey is on display in the museum.

Croce Bianca is a great place to eat as is the Menabrea Birreria in Biella.
