On Saturday December 4th, the Triangle Italians will be organizing the 3rd annual Toy Drive for the Durham Rescue Mission. We will be meeting in Brier Creek at our regular time of 9AM.

Here is our chance to give the gift of generosity to some of those less fortunate.
The guidelines for a Christmas present are pretty open:
    • Boys & Girls ages 12 and under
    • Please make sure the gift remains unwrapped

The plan will be as follows:
    • We’ll meet @ Camille’s at 9:00AM.
    • We’ll start lining up cars around 10:00 - 10:15 and leave the parking lot @ 10:30.
    • We’ll have a police escort lined up to get us out of Brier Creek
    • Currently, the drop-off point will be Crosspointe Church located at Rt55 & Carpenter Fire Station Road. We will also bring maps for our drive.

The Durham Rescue Mission will have a truck at Crosspointe for us to load our gifts. Thank you everyone in advance for helping with this toy drive!

We look forward to seeing everyone out there. If you have any questions or comments, you can email us at [email protected].

    Cheers! Greg

    Hey Greg,

Haven't seen you out at the meets lately but I understand how that goes.

***EDIT*** Sorry Greg, I see you are in the middle of a re-build.

The S2000 community will be honored to help out again this year. I tell everyone that this is my favorite meet of the year and once they come they know why.

Police escort out of Brier Creek....nice touch!

    See you there for sure.

    Kevin

We will be ending at Mambo Italiano in Apex. Tim Massey is trying to work a deal with them for lunch. I'll bring maps for everyone.

    Hey Greg,

That is after we head to Crosspointe Church for the drop off, correct?

I think what Greg posted earlier is correct. We'll still meet for Cars and Coffee at Briar's Creek SC in the AM, then caravan to Mambo Italiano as the final destination and toy drop-off point. Confirm pls. Greg.

Greg's still probably a little foggy from jet lag and will need a few days to get back on southern time. Welcome back by the way, and we're sorry you and Michelle couldn't join us yesterday.

Glenn... good to be back!...and yes, you are correct.

The plan is to meet for our Cars and Coffee gathering at Brier Creek as normal. Around 10AM, we'll begin queuing up (I still need to call the Raliegh Police for the escort) and then we'll caravan to Mambo Italiano in Apex as the final destination and toy drop-off point.

Glenn...one final adjustment on the front springs (need to lower a little) and then she's off to Apex Vintage for an alignment. I'll probably take her over there next Monday / Tuesday.

I'm planning on going unless it is a downpour like last month when I got there and spent 2 1/2 hours in the rain. I don't know where Camille’s is. Can someone send me an address? I look forward to meeting all of you!

It is directly in front of the Barnes and Nobles in Brier Creek. It isn't open any more, but everyone will meet up in the parking lot in that area. As long as you're not the first one there, I don't think you can miss it.

    Just an update,

We are at 28 cars right now. Hoping to get it up to 30.

Greg, one question, is there a place we can head to lunch after the drop off. I am not real familiar with that area. I have a drive mapped out around the lake but haven't really looked for a place that can accommodate 30+ people for lunch.

    Thanks.
    Kevin

Greg that looks AWESOME! Can they handle the big crowd? I would think with all of us 75 to 100 people or so.

Saturday looks cool but nice http://www.wral.com/weather.

    Hey Greg,

Are you going to have directions to the restaurant? If not I can make some up for my guys. It looks like about 33 cars so far.

    Thanks.
