It was brought to my attention that many of us haven't spent much time actually DRIVING our italian ladies lately, so...

In lieu of driving over to Brier Creek tomorrow, we will meet at Leith Volkswagen (back near Mercedes Benz off of Rt64 in Cary) at our regular time of 8:15 - 8:30AM and then...go for a drive!!

Our drive tomorrow will be lead by Capt. Glenn Thomas and from what I've been told, the drive is about 90 minutes long. We may stop for a late breakfast / early lunch and then head back home.

We should be back in the Raleigh / Durham area by ~ 12-12:30.

    Look forward to seeing everyone!

    What a fantastic drive!

From Cary, we drove south on 55 to Fuquay and had a quick breakfast...

From there, hit the back roads (401/42) to Moncure (almost had an altercation with a logging truck)...

Pulled over for about 10 minutes for probably one of the better views of the NC countryside...

Continued on towards Sanford (stopped at the Wink Mart for a lottery ticket)...what are ya gonna do with that $91M Glenn?

Drove north on 15/501/87 to Pittsboro...and did the round-a-bout what...2 times?

Continued north on 87 to Saxpahaw for a refreshing beer & relaxed for a bit...

Headed home on 64 across Lake Jordan...what a great day!

    Thank you Glenn!

Yes, it was a great drive and maybe next time we can have a carravan of Italians. We can mix it up a bit next time and maybe have lunch at the General Store in Pittsboro then seek out the nearest microbrewery for a pint......or two.

...or maybe three! Isn't the Carolina Brewery right outside Pittsboro?
