If i can summed it up in one sentence : my 599 is super powerful, extremely comfortable, sticks like glue, the best brakes, glorious sound and looks, jerky transmission in non-attack mode, and too much body roll.

With the HGTE it might be perfect.
It can still chase down scuds in full assault mode, but it doesnt have to. Because in my mind, it is really the king of horseys.

What are the exhaust tips on the white 599?

John- Beautiful 599, and I am particularly partial to red Ferraris for some reason. Good news is you can add most of the HGTE features to your car at a much more reasonable cost than buying the parts and doing it yourself. Wish that had been possible for the 575M. If so, I would have upgraded to an HGTC. Prohibitively expensive for 575Ms because no upgrade options were ever offered, or bunches of us would have upgraded. Happy for you that they figured that out for the 599.

    I disagree about the transmission.

After having driven it several K miles in the last few months, I can say that once you get used to it is very smooth when you want it to be.

IMO the F1 SuperFast fits the car perfectly. Very smooth when you want it to be and brutally fast and aggressive when "playing". I drove a PDK Porsche 911 and thought that whilst very competent, it felt a bit boring. It's hard to explain why, but I feel that the 599's transmission feels just "right" for the car.

I think the white car has the Kresieg exhaust from Japan. On the 599, I don't think it sounds that much different than the other exhausts, but on the 430 Scuderia........it's like a mini F1 on the road!

I like the tint--and I know it is not from the heat.

+1- I only drove a 599 once but for >1 hour. I am not a fan of the F1 for the 355/360/430/458, but the 599 F1 is amazing. The generation of F1 in the 599 is pretty much perfect to me- you should have your tranny looked at if it's jerky. (If I were in the market for a 599 I think I'd still want the rare stick because I love sticks, but the F1 really suits the car well- actually I may have to admit the F1 probably suits the car better). 599 performance is simply amazing and comfortable at the same time- I felt like I could drive it cross coutry!!

IMO the ride is good. Of course, it's not a Bentley...but it's not supposed to be.

Excessive nose lift and dive in stop and go traffic?!? We must be driving different cars...

...or maybe your right foot gets heavier in the 599 ;)

Honestly, the 599 is the most comfortable car I have ever driven. It eats the road even better than our Conti Gt. I have never seen any other car where you can drive 900 miles in a weekend and feel "fresh" after.

If your girlfriend feels seek in the 599 it has more to do with the way you drive rather then the car.
