    Can I plug a normally battery tender into the access port on the outside of the cover in the trunk? Will that still trickle charge my battery? Or do I need to remove the cover and plug into the ferrari plug?

    Not sure if there is another access port in the trunk, unless you are referring to the cigarette lighter type power socket adjacent to it.
