    Hi all.
I have a question about the wheel base of the P3/P4/412P Ferraris.
    Now...: 330P3:1966:#0844 #0846 #0848 W-B = 2400 mm.
    P3/412P: 1967:#0844 #0848 W-B = 2412 mm.
    412P: 1967: #0850 #0854 W-B = 2412 mm.
    330P4: 1967: #0856 #0858 #0860 W-B = 2400 mm.

My question is....why the difference of 12 mm?

    Staffan.

Weight distribution! By moving the rear wheels back 12 mm (0.5") you are in effect, transfering weight to the front wheels to deal with the more powerful 412P motor. For a race shop or the factory, this is a simple change of moving brackets of changing a weld detail on the a-arms.

12mm is also small enough that you do not have to recut/recontour the rear wheel cuts in the bodywork.

    "more powerful 412P motor"
P4 motor is more powerfull than 412 motor.
