What you really need is a repair manual on the FF but I'm not sure if Ferrari has released it being it is not a current model anymore. Would be nice if anyone has one that can send a copy as it would help the post and others do minor improvements.

Did you figure this out? It looks like per Ferrari manual the entire dash needs to come out. I'd like to do this upgrade too, but not if I need to remove the entire dash.

Client went wobble very common in Uk
Cancelled the job because i ran into a problem could not trigger the amp
it needs a coded signal on can line
Took some pictures not sure how to post
If removing dash be very carefully if it has passenger info display it can twist and snap glass
You will have to remove everything right across the dash
end caps first first of the hidden screws
My car RHD so you might have to reverse stuff
glovebox side hidden screw for fill in panel by glovebox edge also screw at bottom dont pull till removed
Drivers side there is a bracket behind heater pipe to door
try not to displace heater pipe found it really hard to refit like 1 hour then suddenly fitted
Hidden screws behind fusebox panel this panel has screw at base then pull backwards from base NOT top
under steering wheel move the leather there are 2 hidden screws in there
then just lots more screws every where
    But here's the killer
above the radio are 2 screws that hold dash/top panel / media unit together
These are at each side of media unit
the only way to see them is put yourself in footwell then look up inside the dash by radio
    Look UP not Forwards
screw hidden end of dash by column need to remove steering column shroud
When you refit these must not cross thread if you do dash will rattle / creek
Not being rude these 3mm screws round of in a second even with using Snap On tools
    I bought spares
Base of radio bracket 3mm screws but they seem to be glued or gun up
i had to carefully drill 1 out even through i heated them first with a heat gun
think i have covered most of it
when you remove dash i started at end nearest steering wheel got it loose then put a screw driver on passenger side you will see the pins and gently prised after that a good hard pull and panel out
    watch display wires very fragile
think thats all just be cautious

You can buy from the Ferrari dealer for $1200.

The install sounds like so much work. Is the new unit worth all the install work?

The job would be worth it in terms of new tech integration
But audio side would be very involved new amp and speaker rewire
Personally i would say NO unless amp turn on issue is solvable
every time you accelerate the noise is music part of ferrari V12 ownership
I install for a living just feel it wont enhance ownership or resell value of this model

Thanks so much, do you have a part number I can reference. My local dealer is clueless to this or does not have much interest in helping.

Wish i was Stateside then we could get a car to sort this
The unit Brand really is up to you as long as it is what in the Uk we call Double Din
The factory Supplied Unit is not a special or modified unit from Clarion
It just has a ferrari Logo
With Pioneer you could upload a JPEG have done this on another famous Italian Tractor brand
Its a long Job i put a guide on my other post
All the old style connections are provided by the factory Can adaptor
    Except the Amp turn
If anyone has a system without an Amp its doable and looks good
It maybe possible to rewire the factory amp and speakers but the moron i was doing the install for decided not to continue and cancelled the installation
