    My trip odometer runs about 3X fast / regular odometer is fine. Any advice on where to start looking for a fix? I’ve had the car about 6 months - everything else except the TPMS works well.

    It's an internal instrument panel issue. Binnacle removal seems quite involved. There is a procedure in the Workshop Manual which involves removing the steering wheel (perhaps there are workarounds.

    From the WSM:
    Remove steering column cover (6 screws)
    Remove the AC Control Panel
    Remove the driver's airbag
    Remove the paddles (F1)
    Remove the steering wheel "levers" (?)
    Take out the 3 central vents (there are hidden fasteners there)
    .... and the list goes on.... probably best to get a copy of the manual if you're going to do it yourself. Lots of photos in it.
