I blame Victoria We're not allowed to speak to them any more https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/closures/coronavirus-victoria-health-minister-warns-of-stricter-lockdowns/news-story/c8867a83c1c3cb1e8605cfcdab76df2c
But I thought we were still allowed to cross into NSW, we just needed to fill in an online permit, which takes about 1 min apparently, and we return as normal, as long as we havn't been to any 'hot spots'?
I don't think that's the case. I'm sure it's 'essential,freight and compassionate' only....but I'm happy to be proven wrong.
Hope so 'cos I just printed this out, though I haven't actually seen anything written about Q'landers crossing into NSW Image Unavailable, Please Login
I've been across and back a few times Just flash this but best place to pass back into QLD is the crossing in the Tweed/Coolangatta CBD, no lines and no hassles
Sooo we're taking advise from a bloke who has his luggage in his boot, has his tyres pumped up to the prescribed pressures and has his fresh battery operated torch stored under his car battery........RIIIIIIIIIGHT!
We will only have to do it once, and I’m happy to take John’s advice. It’s what my customers are telling me also.
No, I think Moretti is right. I know people whom have crossed over and back with no problem. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
....and with no quarantine when coming back in? I hope you're correct. As I said earlier it doesn't actually say anything in the Qld health or Gov't site's I'm not trying to be negative about this FFS it's the best bloody week of the year. Just that you blokes only have a couple of hundred Klm's to turn back if it turns pearshaped at the border,it's taking me 2000 klm's.
These are “your” rules https://www.health.qld.gov.au/system-governance/legislation/cho-public-health-directions-under-expanded-public-health-act-powers/border-restrictions “An exempt resident who arrives in Queensland must self-quarantine if: in the last 14 days, they have been in particular areas of Australia decided by the Chief Health Officer and published on the Queensland Health website (a COVID-19 hotspot), unless the person was in the COVID-19 hotspot for an essential purpose or enters Queensland for an essential purpose” There are no current declared “Hotspots” in NSW but that could change....
