Hmmm. We've wanted to do exactly that for years, including the train trip. Make sure you document it. And not just the surf clubs and Red Roosters, FFS.
i'm Lucky in a number of ways . Amanda is great to travel with ...best navigator I've ever had ...be ideal in an aircraft old school. Pays for half , so we always go business class and stay at quality horels/resorts and hire quality cars/suvs. She's rich I'm poor.
Same here. Chloe also a perfect travelling companion, whom also likes driving. We have missed travel over the last couple of years. Looking forward to Tassie and many more drives once the Lotus arrives.
Perfect car for Tassie ..when ready let me know ,catch up for lunch or dinner in Melbourne with Carl . ferry few tricks ..rough crossing often , get a inner cabin, no sound of waves hitting the hull. Stay with the car till ALL others have passed and be one of the last loading ,less risk of dents On arrival be next to the Lotus with an eye for others opening doors or knocking it with bags . My Corniche got a dent on one of trips over in 2019. We'll go again next year but in the T Series . That ferry crossing can be bloody rough. We had a cabin up the front and OMG the waves hitting the hull sounded like we’d hit a rock. Rough journey, ended up dosing up on sleeping tablets on the way back and slept through the whole trip Was very nervous about leaving the car, I ended up putting extra tyre stops on the car in front and behind Image Unavailable, Please Login
Mistake many 1st time travellers do the top cabin or a window cabin and sleep little trust me Steve an inner cabin ..
Agreed. Both crossings were great and nil damage to either of the cars......... Seventeen bottles of red shared between two of us (Sean) had absolutely nothing to do with that outcome................ If I remember correctly Sean and his offsider had failed to book their accommodation on the return trip and bunked in with us as we had a 4 berth.
We did the train from Christchurch to Greymouth. Great observation carriage on that train. You've pulled a train haven't you Rob?
Sounds great! We'd both love that. We did the Tassie thing in 2018 in the boggo Golf wagon I bought while Chloe was living in Cairns - drove to Melbourne, put it on the ferry etc. It was excellent. Can't remember feeling crook. No doubt weather plays a huge part. Or scotch... In Summary GG is 20 blokes drinking everynight a bill of around $250 each P/N with Booze being about 80% of the bill. Horse working out Gregs bill "I only had goat and one glass of coke " Too BAD you subsidize All.others ...cough up ya $250. I'm a firm believer in NO splitting of the bill....too bad Greg if you only had Goat and one Coke.
Sounds fine to me. Did you buy that cargo mat, might need it for the goat now too. #prawngoatwagon Silly signature here to annoy KIAI
Goat is in the W12 Conti boot. I don't eat goat , so I'm not paying for any of it . Just bill me for the chicken parma and 1x Coke Ta.
